PARTICIPATION RULES1. Entries will be received only between the hours of 2:00 and 7:00 p.m. Friday. No entries will be received after 7:00 p.m. NO EXCEPTIONS. 2. Each exhibitor must have a 3x5 ruled card with name, address and all entries listed. Each entry must be listed on a separate line, showing name of section, category and class in which it is entered. Each card must have exhibitor’s name. Do not use back of card. (See Sample A) 3. Each entry must have a label with the section, category and class shown clearly. (See Sample B) 4. All entries must meet requirements of category, size and quantity or they cannot be accepted. 5. Entry will not be accepted if rules 2, 3, and 4 are not completed. 6. Judging will begin at 8:00 P.M. Friday. 7. ALL ITEMS entered MUST BE THE WORK OF THE EXHIBITOR. 8. Any entry having previously been entered at the Big Rock Plowing Match may not be re-entered. 9. Items must be entered under child’s current age. 10. Entries are limited to one entry per person in each class. 11. All entries must remain on display until 4:00 p.m. Sunday. 12. Quality of workmanship, as well as beauty of the entry will be considered. No entry deemed unworthy will be awarded a ribbon. This is at the option of the judges. 13. No package mixes or frostings are to be used in any entry. (Except when noted) 14. All entries in BAKING are to be on paper/ foam plates, or cardboard and placed in large-sized baggies or ziploc bags. 15. All entries that win 1st or 2nd in baking will be sold at the auction at 1:00 on Saturday. All food not taking premiums must remain until 4:00 p.m. Sunday. 16. The building will close at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday. All entries must be removed between 4:00 and 5:00 p.m. on Sunday. 17. The Fair Management will not be responsible for loss or damage to any entry exhibited, but every precaution will be taken for the safekeeping of all entries. 18. Prize money will be awarded immediately after the auction. It can be collected at the Office (S.E. corner of lunch stand). 19. Select a rock, choose a subject and then paint it on the rock. Your subject should be related to an event at the Plowing Match. It can be related to any event you choose. Your only limits are size. Your rock should be no larger than 12” x 12” x 12”. Have some fun: choose your favorite part of the Plowing Match weekend and paint it in your own special style.
The painted rock must be created by the entrant.

Category B ~~ SPECIAL ENTRY ~ BAKING Use the following recipe, a foil pan, and bake:
EARTHQUAKE CAKE1 pkg. German Chocolate Cake mix 1 Cup Pecans 1 Cup Coconut 1 Stick Margarine 1 lb. Box Powdered Sugar 8 oz Cream Cheese
Place oven rack in middle position. Preheat to 350 degrees. 2. Coat a 9”x13” foil pan with non stick cooking spray. 3. Layer in pan: the coconut, then the pecans 4. Mix cake mix as directed on box, then pour on top of pecans 5. Mix powdered sugar, margarine and cream cheese. 6. Drop thick globs on top of the cake mix. 7. Bake 50 to 60 minutes.
DO NOT CUT OR REMOVE FROM PAN
