Big Rock's annual Plowing Match is a small country fair in the rural
community of Big Rock Illinois. It is located just west of Sugar
Grove Illinois off Rt. 30- take Rhodes Ave. south, across the tracks and
turn right onto Hinckley Rd, go 1/2 mile west to Plowman's
Park. The Plowing Match is a great family event that offers
something for everyone:

A volunteer board runs
the Big Rock Plowing Match Association.
All of the activities at the Plowing Match are organized and manned
by volunteers who dedicate countless hours to preserving a tradition that
was begun long ago. Join us

OLD
FASHIONED DINNERS

Saturday and Sunday
From
11:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.
The Big Rock Plowing Match Association and 5 B’s
Catering of Waterman invite you to join them for dinner on Saturday.
Choose barbecued pork chops, barbecued chicken (or some of each)
served with baked beans, applesauce, Cole slaw and dessert.
All for $9.00. On Sunday, the Association and Nel’s Catering of
Somonauk invite you to enjoy a complete roast beef dinner.
For $9.00 a plate you will receive roast beef, mashed potatoes,
gravy, buttered green beans, Cole slaw, and dessert.
LUNCH
STAND
The lunch stand opens at 8 a.m. each morning.
Sweet rolls and doughnuts are available ~ and believe it or not ~
coffee is only 50 cents a cup! Hearty
lunch appetites can be satisfied with hot dogs, hamburgers, brats, beef
BBQ, assorted chips, candy, pop, and bottled water.
All food is available until closing.
